I must be blind, but I can't find documentation for the modules. I downloaded ALBUM thinking documentation was in the download, but don't see it there either. (I am willing to help with a piece of the core documentation.)
Thanks,Teri

Re: Where is module documentation?
If by documentation you mean instructions/Help go to Extensions > Modules and click the name or 'Help' to see how to use it and the parameters it uses... of course you will have to have the module installed...
Or you can go to Extensions » Module Manager and click on 'Help' across from the module or 'About' to get information w/o installing it...
And last but not least you can look in the Handbook in the Documentation tab at the top of this page, you may also add to this Handbook...

Thanks, Mark.
So the only way to know the features of a module is to install it, right?
In this case, I'll have hundreds of images to upload, so I was trying to find out before installation if ALBUM supports ftp or some other form of mass upload.

Re: Where is module documentation?
The module help, and module about information can be viewed in the module manager before installing, if that helps.

Re: Where is module documentation?
Thanks, but now I'm even more perplexed, becuase I did install ALBUM, but the Help is only a few lines that tells me to put {cms_module module='album'} in a template. I did that, and assigned a page to my "Album" template, but I have no idea what to do next, since nothing shows up on either the front end or backend of that page. I must be missing something really obvious, but where do I go to create albums? (and hopefully upload folders of images).
(my version of CMSMS is a year old, in case that's the problem)

The Album module is a way to show images on your site in various ways, from simple inline views(thumbs with large image at top with next/prev. links) to very sophisticated (click thumb and have larger image overlay the page with faded background)...
It works with the uploads/images folder which you can FTP mass upload as many images into as you want, it will upload one image at a time if need be, but I just FTP for a faster route...
Examples of Album in various uses, simple to sophisticated, http://multiintech.com/Templates Galleries...
You need to go to Content » Photo Albums and create the Album it's pretty simple just click Add an Album...

Ah, there's my problem. when I go to Content, I do not see Photo Album. Even though under Modules "Album" shows as installed and active.
Re: Where is module documentation?
The problem is more than likely... it was developed in April of this year, do you have any reason not to upgrade your ver. at this time?

Re: Where is module documentation?
Ah! Yes. Fear of the consequences. I was just testing on an old site in 0.10.4. I'll let that sleeping dog lie and wait until after I've installed the new core on my next site. I was surprised not to see any version compatibilities list on the module itself. Thanks for the insight.do you have any reason not to upgrade your ver. at this time?
