[Solved] No news (summary) in IE, is bad news

Post by girlnerd »

Hi,

I'm running CMSMS 1.0.2, Linux, PHP 5.2.0, and mySQL 4.1.21 standard.

My site: http://goNEWz.com.

My news summary on the home page under FireFox is fine, but under IE the summaries are missing and there's a strange indenting thing going on.

Here's a screen shot under IE7:

Here's what it looks like under Firefox 1.5

Many thanks in advance.

Try taking the , by the way that is not the correct way to 'comment out' it should be .  out of the template and just use  .NewsSummaryCategory {display:none} or use a customized News summary template...

If you go to Extensions > Modules then click the word News or Help you will see the parameters it takes such as how to use a customized template...

Thanks for your prompt reply. I had been searching the forum for hours before I got the courage to ask.

I removed the comments and used {display:none} in the CSS. That did the trick.

Thanks again.
