My version .13 CMSMS website using css vert menu does not work correctly in Internet Explorer 7.0. When a user hovers over a menu, the sub-menu opens to the right, but once the user goes to select a sub menu, the entire sub-menu disappears. For the life of me, I cant get a upgrade to work, I do ALL the complete steps and CMS tells me upgraded successfully, i login into admin and it still says v.13.
What I would like is a css code tweak just to fix the menu in .13 so it works in IE7. I would like to know why the upgrade isnt working, but a menu fix would suit me just fine for now, i would assume if the 1.0.2 version works with IE7, someone has to know how to get .13 to do the same. ~Thanks

CSS Vert Menu NOT working in IE7
Re: CSS Vert Menu NOT working in IE7
I think the problem is a common one, I believe you have to upgrade to the latest JS for the window function and make sure it is pointing to the correct and updated JS like this:
It worked for me with a similar problem.
The CSSMenu.js still isn't perfect in IE7, it could use a re-write, I see lots of artifacts if you approach the menu from the bottom, but it does work.

Re: CSS Vert Menu NOT working in IE7
So is there a way for me upgrade to the latest JS w/o upgrading my entire site? If so how? Can I copy the js file from a clean install site 1.0.2 to my menumanager folder?
So are you saying i need to update the latst javascript the code below is pointing to?

Re: CSS Vert Menu NOT working in IE7
There are more posts like this. This CSSMenu.js sure still needs a rewrite. It renders like sh*t in IE. I can't do it unforunately, don't have the knowledge

Anyway. I understand from your posts flushell, that you are using 1.0.6. So we conclude the problem exists in 0.13 as well as in 1.0.6.
I wrote that I was happy with the "Simple vertical menu" in 1.0.6. And I learned that there is no point in trying the one that rolls out to the right, after my upgrade. Thanks saves me time.
(oh and by the way: I'm not upgrading: I have installed 1.0.6 clean, next to the old 0.13. I'm copying the pages across).
Are you still in developemt? Or is your site live!? I think about 20% of IE users has already upgraded to IE7, so I would choose for "Simple vertical menu", which is a) fine and b) looks nice as well.
About a solution being developed. I not very hopefull on the short term. I've first posted the problem 4-5 months ago, and I also personally e-mailed several hard-core posters of this forum / developers. But nothing concrete really came out.
But please don't misunderstand me, this is not a complaint: I really appreciate this Open Source CMSMS Project and the enormous amout of work that went in it by the developers.
Good luck.
Cheers Thomas.

hmm, I cant really see the problem (first reason is that I dont use IE
but could someone please make a minimal testcase and file a bug with that testcase so we can take a look at it?
