iirc the comments or news module has doc. on how to work it... go to the modules page and click the name of the module for Help...

Basically in the detail template, at the bottom, for news add

{cms_module module='Comments' modulename='News' spamprotect=1 pageid=$entry->id}

and in the page you want it, content or template

{cms_module module='news' number="5" dateformat="%A %B %d, %Y" moretext='Comments'}
