Add table to Internal search

Is it possible to add another table to be indexed by search? I have a small database table which is in the CMS and I pull data out of it using a plugin tag on the relevant pages. The plugin can pull a variety of information from this table and display it depending on the set parameters. What I would like is to regisetr this with search and let search indicate the pages data is on? I know you can register modules, but I don't need one as the data has admin outside of CMS.

This is quite an urgent requirement, does anyone have any ideas?
