Is it possible to allow an admin user to have access to, say, just one page or one section of the website to edit? From my initial review it seems that a page editor can edit all pages, is this correct?
Thanks.

Setting individual page permissions for Admin users?
Re: Setting individual page permissions for Admin users?
create new group without "modify all pages" permission, assign user to that group. then in page editing you check the options tab and its additional editors fields (use ctrl + click to select multiple users)
hope this helps

Re: Setting individual page permissions for Admin users?
Hi there,
I just wrote myself an instruction on Creating Users & Groups and Assigning them to One or more pages.
It's located here:

Hope it helps someone

Re: Setting individual page permissions for Admin users?
Webgirl, those instructions were excellent.
I assumed, through my ignorance, that it was not possible to assign a specific user to edit a single page, and no others. In fact the inability of CMSMS to do this (or so I thought) was really bumming me out to such an extent that I have continued looking for another CMS that would allow me to do this. But now that I've discovered, by reading this thread, that it -is- possible to restrict users to be able to edit only a single page, it has freed me of the burden of having to find another CMS. This is HUGE to me. I am now content to develop in CMSMS big time. thank you thank you thank you.

Re: Setting individual page permissions for Admin users?
Thanks! Awesome instructions... really close to what I'm looking for for what I want to do on my site.
What I'd like to do though, is have "comments" allowed on each page... the particular page that only I (admin) and a specific "user" has priviledges to... but I want the specific "user" to be able to moderate the comments on that page only. Could this be done in CMSms?
Could their be a quick D&D hack to make multiple "Comments Modules" so that I can grant priviledges to the specific "user" to his/hers specific "Comments"
I think maybe a "categories" option in "News" and "Comments" that can allow specific users editorial privs would be a good idea.
