WYSIWYG
WYSIWYG
There has been some discussion on which WYSIWYG editor one should use.
We have Tiny, which I think is a bit slow to load so I use html-area which works great(althoug it lacks CSS-support which I didn't figure out how to install)
And now I wonder if someone have tried to install the SPAW editor?
http://www.solmetra.com/en/disp.php/en_ ... spaw_intro
Would this be a good one to use? I have used it for an other CMS before and I have to say that I very much liked it. Easy and pretty fast.
What do you use?

Re: WYSIWYG
You might want to look at XStandard, a standards compliant editor with full XHTML and CSS support, also running in Firefox. It comes in a freeware version or in a pro version with additional features (like spell check, better customization). Check ist out at http://www.xstandard.com. Shortly, there will also be a CMSMS module to implement it

Re: WYSIWYG
Hi,
Yeah I have been looking at this one and it is really great! And it would be fantastic if it would be implemented in CMSMS! Aslong as the filemanagement is implemented in it.
Thanks,
Gnolen

Re: WYSIWYG
You can download the current state of the module at [ftp]ftp://ftp.fritschy.ch/cmsms/[/ftp]. As I am rather new to CMSMS I asked Wishy to look into it before making it public.
As it is, it is perfect for the free version. If you activate the pro version, would would need to change some of the paramtags in the module.
Happy testing! I am looking forward to your feedback.

Re: WYSIWYG
I looked Solmetra and i also started on creating a module, at the moment don't remember the reason of the abort.
Maybe because i was tired to create module over module
, and now that i see the beta version 0.10 i know that i must reconvert mine again
Or maybe i prefer FCKeditor because with it could insert also FORM tags.
Good work on this WYSIWYG module

Xstandard use ActiveX bleh!!
Re: WYSIWYG
Looks great! But one thing it lacks is the filemanagement. ;o( And therefore for my no option to use it. Otherwise it is really cool and fast!

... but works like a charm with Firefox!megabob3 wrote: Xstandard use ActiveX bleh!!
Re: WYSIWYG
Won't people have to click Agree to accept the ActiveX control though? I don't think I can use that. Our site needs to be WAI-compliant, at least for priority 1 and 2 checks.

have you come any further with integrating Spaw into CMSMS. I downloaded the editor, but I don't know how to implement it into CMSMS. Can you help?
Thanx,
Alex

Really i don't remember why aborted it, i repeat probably because i prefer FCKeditor.
If i find my old code about it, i will post here.
I another case, you must create a module, look default WYSIWYG module of CMSMS.
At the moment i cannot spend much time on it.
Bye

megabob...
I am trying out the FCK which I have liked before. But the imagemanagement doesn't work for me. I should, right? Is there any configs I have to change for it to do so?
Thanks / gnolen

Re: WYSIWYG
Great Bob!!
When I look at it. It is really the best one! Styles input(and preview of them) and everything else. Even spellcheck! But not the best for valid code thought. But that is not so hard to correct yourself.
When do you think the imagemanagement will work?
