If you want to manage your database through phpMyAdmin, then why do you need it on your website??

Or is it not de cmsmadesimple_database you want to manage? But an different one?

i don't want to manage the cmsms' database.
For exemple, i want to have all football teams in my database. on my website, thanks to this database, I could see all information about this teams. and in the admin part of cmsms, I could add or remove some information in my team database.

is it more clear ?
It's not very easy, I know  :-[

Thanks for your help

Than you should try Formbuilder/Formbrowser modules. With Formbuilder module you can create database fields and the properties, with Formbrowser module you can manipulate this database in admin panel and show the results on your website ...

Interesting thread.

My guestion: Would it be possible to combine Formbuilder/browser with FrontEndUser to create a system for members of a club/association to update their personal data (adress/phone-number etc) through the homepage.

Is cmsms the way to go here?
How secure would a system like that be?

I'm not sure how the permissions on Formbuilder/FormBrowser work, if it only allows users to edit their own records. etc.  I don't think that that functonality is in there yet.

@Huduzz: That's basically what I'm after, too. I am currently testing FormBuilder 0.2 and FormBrowser 0.1 in a CMSMS 1.0.2. test install and they seem to be exactly the right tools for what we need. Questions to me are:

1. How to combine FormBrowser/-Builder with NewsletterMadeSimple, so persons can be emailled from right out of their address data stored within the admin section?
2. How to combine them with FrontEndUsers, so persons can add/edit their own data?

Both of those questions are discussed already, I'm sure, I was just going to find out where. ;)

From what I understand, a combination with FEU should be possible though I don't know how yet. Matters of security, however, will still be subject to test and discuss. We wouldn't go for such a thing on a production site right away. Let's all test a bit and share the results here, how's that?

Cas
