Problems with WYSIWYG ?

Post by alexvgtb »

Hello,

Strange, I'm using the template Left simple navigation + 1 column...

And when I insert a table into the page using the editor, it's invisible ! However, the table appears in the source.

What gives ?

IE, Firefox, same problem...

I'm using version 1.02.

Can you help me ?

Thanks !

Speaking of tables, any idea why the css styles don't seem to work inside the tables?  I added my own styles to the STYLE popdown menu in the FCKeditor.

Is there a pre-set table definition somewhere I need to know about?

I'm having the same problem with tables. The border is invisible in the editor but does show up on the live site. I've tried it both Firefox and IE and same thing. I even went to the FCKeditor website and the tables work fine there.

As for the nbsp solution, that doesn't work. And actually that special character is already inside the table in the source.

Any ideas on how to fix this? This is a default install, I've done nothing to it since installation.

Hi qbrix,

I checked my stylesheet, and discovered I had table parameters in there which I'd totally forgotten about  :-[

once i changed the stylesheet, the 'styles' within the cells worked MUCH better :D

double check any/all stylesheets attached to your page - just in case

hope this helps

ps - I also installed a different WYSIWYG editor this week on on of my sites - that made a big difference.

You can see a list here:

I downloaded TinyMCE and I quite like it.
