News - different date format

I need a different dateformat in the detail page, how do i do that?

In the summary its like 3/oct/06, in the detail it has tobe 3 october 2006

If you're in a mood of editing news templates, so I suggest doing it.
Set shortnews template and a detailed news view template, and edit them as you want.
It's not as elegant solution as it would be just passing the date formats as parameter, but it should solve your problem.
