Hi everyone,
I am trying to create a new style, CSS Top Menu + 3 columns where i would have a right and a left column with news, links, etc... and the center would be content. For the sides, I would like to use global content blogs.
So here is what I did: I copied the CSS and Template from CSS Top Menu + 2, and modified it by adding another sidebar, added a class in CSS for it, did same properties, adjusted width, and floated it right... well, it doesn't work. Right column aligns, but left one floats on top of the content. Any ideas? Here is my template, followed by the CSS:
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
//// TEMPLATE
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
{sitename} - {title}
{metadata}
{stylesheet}
{cms_selflink dir="start" rellink=1}
{cms_selflink dir="prev" rellink=1}
{cms_selflink dir="next" rellink=1}
{literal}
=b){nw=b+"px";}if(w
#pagewrapper {width:expression(P7_MinMaxW(720,950));}
#container {height: 1%;}
{/literal}
{cms_selflink dir="start" text="$sitename"}
Navigation
{menu template='cssmenu.tpl'}
{global_content name='SidebarLeft'}
{global_content name='SidebarRight'}
{title}
{content}
{global_content name='footer'}

CSS Top Menu + 3 Columns
Re: CSS Top Menu + 3 Columns
You may find a template all ready for you in the themes http://themes.cmsmadesimple.org/Theme_Frameworks.html the 3rd one down is the one, it's just a frame for starting...
Re: CSS Top Menu + 3 Columns
I see it, I installed it, and it still isnt looking right. I have the latest build of the CMSMS. In a build a couple of month ago i did just what i explained in the post, and it was working fine... this one for some reason its just not happening, and i cannot figure out why.
Add a copy of the sidebar div's, modify the floats, adjust the size... and it acts up. I am pretty sure it is something I am doing, but I just cannot figure out what. Thats two nights down...

Re: CSS Top Menu + 3 Columns
The error means just what it says, it can't read them as in they are not there, do you have them in Global Content Blocks and are they called the correct name...
{global_content name='SidebarLeft'}
{global_content name='SidebarRight'}
{global_content name='SidebarLeft'}
{global_content name='SidebarRight'}
