I attempted to install blankofthemonth using the module manager and got this fatal error...
Fatal error: Class blankofthemonthmodule: Cannot inherit from undefined class cmsmodulecontenttype in /usr/www/users/xxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxx/modules/BlankOfTheMonth/BlankOfTheMonth.module.php on line 550
Additionally, the admin area has lost its stylesheet formatting.

Re: blankofthemonth module - Fatal Error
There's an error in the blankofthemonth module. Just deinstall the module (and delete it's directory).

Re: blankofthemonth module - Fatal Error
Thanks Dee. I can't believe I wasn't able to find that other thread. I thought I searched properly...apparently I didn't.
How can I uninstall the module if I can't get into Extensions>Modules to do so?

Re: blankofthemonth module - Fatal Error
An additional problem is that the blankoftheday directory is owned by the server and I can't delete it myself. Arrrrgh.
Re: blankofthemonth module - Fatal Error
You can access Extensions -> Modules in the admin, even without the CSS.
Delete the directory afterwards from the same module list.
You're probably trying to delete the directory using ftp. To delete a directory owned by the webserver use some other form of admin access (ssh or some web-based admin's filemanager).

Or create a PHP script to delete it for you ofcourseDee wrote: To delete a directory owned by the webserver use some other form of admin access (ssh or some web-based admin's filemanager).

Re: blankofthemonth module - Fatal Error
Dee, I can't get into Extensions>Modules. When I attempt to go there I get the fatal error
Fatal error: Class blankofthemonthmodule: Cannot inherit from undefined class cmsmodulecontenttype in /usr/www/users/cnymike/stjameschurch/modules/BlankOfTheMonth/BlankOfTheMonth.module.php on line 550
And I was trying to delete the BlankOfTheMonth directory using Telnet.
I know just enough to be dangerous, but without understanding exactly what it is I'm doing

Re: blankofthemonth module - Fatal Error
I was able to contact my webhost who changed permissions for me and then I was able to delete the BlankOfTheMonth directory.
Things seem to be back to normal now. Thanks for your help.

Re: blankofthemonth module - Fatal Error
Version 1.1 of the BOTM module seems to fix this problem. cnymike was kind enough to test it for me and reports no problems. Of course, it works for me--but doesn't it always work right for the programmer?
