Hi,
I manage a website written in ColdFusion and have been looking for a simple opensource ColdFusion CMS without much success.
I was interested to see what was involved in porting another product to ColdFusion and spent a few hours investigating the feasibility of porting CMSMS to CF yesterday. I didn't get all that far - basically all can I do at the moment is serve up a page via ColdFusion provided it exists in the database (ie. if it was created in the PHP version).
I'm not sure if I'll persue this or not - it's probably too big a job to do alone - but I thought it wouldn't hurt to make available what I've already done in case anyone with more time, motivation, etc. than me wants to run with it. Would here be the appropriate place to do that, or should I post somewhere else?
Thanks,
Andrew.
ColdFusion Port
Re: ColdFusion Port
You have two choices :
1) Create and manage a specialized team of programmers. Invest several months of work and a lot of money into a costly Coldfusion port with the hope of eventually getting to the same same point as option 2...
or
2) Install a free copy of PHP on your server and run CMS Made Simple as is, for free, in less than an hour.
