I'm using CMS Made Simple 0.13 Canary. I can upload the file, which is a Publisher doc (don't ask) converted to pdf, to the server, but there seesm no way of inserting a pdf ina page using FCK or TinyMCE. thanks again.

It's not a pdf in that site you mentioned. It's flashpaper http://www.adobe.com/products/flashpaper/ It makes it look like it's a pdf, but its simply flash.

thanks pishkus. almost as soon as I'd posted someone suggested I try flash paper, which we have here in school anyway. after a few goes resizing I'd got it to fit. sorry if I wasted anyone's time.
