Moving CMSms

How can i move CMSms to a different directory?

If i just move the files on my ftp, the page screwes up... i've tried moving a bit back and forward, and the only place the homepage will look as i want is if it is in the directory it was installed to... what do i do?

clear cache, move, edit config.php to reflect changes, clear cache, done
