index.php not found

I've installed cmsms correctly on a new server, and was able to import my files from another server where I was using cmsms.
I am able to log in to the administration section ok, and see all my files.

However, index.php is not recognized.  The index.php file is there on the server, but I cannot bring any of the pages up because the index.php file is not working. 

The site is wilstonfuneralhome.com .... it comes up because the front page as you see it is an html page I have put up temporarily, although none of the links work because they are referring back to the index.php page that doesn't work (/index.php?page=Staff), etc.

Can anyone help me with this?  I have uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted the database and reinstalled all except the old files, and I still get the error page not found when trying to go to index.php 

At a loss on what to do next.

Are you sure that the content in the index.php is the same as the one you downloaded?

Sometimes when you upload files the content can be switched.

I'm not sure what you mean.  I downloaded the index.php file from the server and looked at it - it appears to be of cmsms origin.  I don't understand why I can see it on the server, and look at it in html kit, but not see as a web page on the server.
