Hi Newclear

I'm running CMSMS 0.13 with reservation Module 0.6.1.

In Step 2, if I change either the dates or the Number of persons, the data gets lost. When doing a quick comparison of the source code of the demo site you supplied, I noticed that there are several hidden input fields that keep track of information such as 'fromdate' and 'todate' etc.
My source code only stores: . So if I change the dates, the Number of Persons defaults to 1 and if I change the Number of persons, the reservation dates are lost...

Also I'm not receiving the email notification. I installed CMSMailer and tested it and the site is sending the email, but not from the reservation Module. Please help!

If I can get these little glitches sorted out, this is going to be a very nifty module. ;D

Hello there,
I really cant say now why the hiddens are not showing in your code  :(
In the step 2 when you change the number of persons (adults or childrens)the form is submitted automatic and redirrect to step 2 again.
If you change the dates in step 2 you should click Apply button to make the changes for prices in step 2.
If you send me a url i can take a look and try to debug your situation.

The module is not using the CMSMailer and send mail only with php mail function. please check did you add email to send reservations to in admin -> reservation -> general options.

I will make 1.0 release soon which will have more options and will be code revised.

Hi newclear

The url is  http://seaboundcharters.co.za/index.php/reservations

I've installed it on two separate servers and I still get the same result as mentioned.

In regards to the email - if I only have to change the settings in the admin section, I've definitely changed the email to my own. I only installed CMSMailer to verify that the emails are not being blocked by the server for some reason.

Thanks!

Step 2 has two forms and when you clicked apply on first there is no hidden field for the adults number. Also the childs too.
The second form has the same problem but need hidden fields for the date range.

I hope you can try to do this job for you.

If you did this job maybe the mail problem will be fixed accordingly

PS: The problem you found is an issue and will be fixed in next version.

The reservation module is hardcoded to use the multilingual version of CMSMS but it should work with the official version too. I just didn't tried.

So about the problem. Yes i think I got it.
You should get the last class.module.inc.php from SVN. I use some new features with forms that are added in the 0.13 vers.
The problem maybe came from the $params which is not assigned regularly.

Can you tell me on which action you got this error. I will try to help you resolve this problem.

If someone else who have a problems with the module  Please share them here.
There is a demo for Reservation module here

Is it too cramped not enough room around it?...

Try taking the align out of it...

Suite Room

I would suggest working on the reservation dates format also...

From 22 December,2006 to 23 December,2006

From 22 December 2006 to 23 December 2006

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your help regarding the reservation room alignment, what do you mean regarding with the dateformat? presently my problem with the date is when i click and icon for calendar and select any dates it didn't work but if im going to click the datebox and select date it work. What is the problem with this one? css? or tpl file.

Thanks and best regards!

I am new to CMS made simple so the answer may be obvious.

I have installed CMS MS and the Reservation model - you can see it here

http://www.race-entry.co.uk/cms/cmsmade ... est-a-room

There is 1 room type and 1 room

The calender javascript does not seem to work and I can't get past Step 1

Any advice would be welcomed.

As i see it was commented in the help page.
And it is because the js has to be included by the module but it wasn't
So here is the commented help

JavaScript For Reservation Module

The module using js and css for Xin Calendar 2 and some checking input fields. The calendar will not work without js. I actually add to template the following code in the header tag.

Code: Select all

<pre>
{literal}
<link href="modules/Reservation/calendar/css/xc2_default.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" />
<__script__ src="modules/Reservation/calendar/config/xc2_default.js" type="text/javascript" language="javascript"></__script>
<__script__ src="modules/Reservation/calendar/script/xc2_inpage.js" type="text/javascript" language="javascript"></__script>
<__script__ src="modules/Reservation/templates/general.js" type="text/javascript" language="javascript"></__script>
{/literal}
</pre>
