What version should I install for a commercial website?

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

It's still in beta, so I wouldn't recommend using it on a production site (although I'm running it on a production site myself).
However, if you're starting development for a commercial website, then I'd go for beta6 because 1.0 stable will probably be out before you finish development.
1.0 has some nice improvements (built-in search functionality and module manager among many) and bugfixes, but it requires more memory (PHP memory_limit of 8M is not enough on most systems) and not all modules have compatible versions ready (I think all modules in module manager should be ok though).
