Hi all, just got CMSMS up and running, next step is to make a layout.
For that I would like to open one the existing templates to see how it is made.
Problem is I can't find them.
I found the folder "Thememanager\templates" and "Modules/FCKeditor/templates" but it seems like thats not it. (no in any of those templates)
So, where are the templates stored?
Please help, I would like to use CMSMS, it looks good, But I can't use any of the premade templates.
Where are the templates?

Re: Where are the templates?
I got no such folder!
In the CMSMS root I got:
admin
doc
images
lib
modules
plugins
tmp
uploads.
I have digged through all of them but can't find it.
Did I realy miss it somewhere?

Re: Where are the templates?
you are really locked in the old mentality!
in CMSmadesimple you edit the templates through the admin section.
navigate your browser to the cms-folder/admin
enter your login details
In the admin section navigate to layout -> templates
select a template to edit.

they're all in the database
and in the admin you can copy existing templates and bits of stylesheet to create new ones.
It's a bit of a head-fsck til you get used to it - then it clicks and you wonder why other content management systems don't work like this. I had the same questions when I moved from using Mambo

uptoeleven is right : play with copies (in the admin panel, of course). I made the mistake of modifying the original and could not easily revert all my changes so needed to reinstall.
Please have a look at http://themes.cmsmadesimple.org/ and discover and share themes.
@uptoeleven : I don't know Mambo/joomla. I'd like you share why you prefer CMSms. I could repeat it to people I show CMSms to.

Thanks for helping.
And Yes, I realy am stuck on the old mentality, this is all new to me.
So, are you saying the templates are stored in the database, as there are no files?
I'm sure I'l be back with more questions before this is done.

Right - that's the default.Claren wrote: So, are you saying the templates are stored in the database,
But if it's very important for you to use files you can do it with
