Admin Login Problem

Fresh install of beta6 on a Unix host with CPanel. I have a functioning install of beta5 on an indentical server without this problem. Installed the same as before, but get "Password Incorrect" message, even when using the username and password that the install emailed.

I can delete this and reinstall, but would rather not have to if there is any other option, because we are using pretty flaky internet, which makes uploads a pain.

Help appreciated.
