CMS Made Simple – can’t edit or create new pages after update

Hi everyone,

I’m in the process of upgrading an old CMS Made Simple installation on our site, but I’ve hit a problem after the update. Right now, I’m unable to edit existing pages or add new ones.

Whenever I try to open the page editor or create a new page, it only shows an unstyled menu with links to the site pages instead of the usual editing interface.

If anyone has a quick fix or workaround that could help me get the editor working again, I’d really appreciate it!

I think we'll need a lot more detail. Here's a few things for starters, but anything additional, including screenshots, will help:
-what version of cmsms did you start with, and what are you on now? (and did you upgrade in steps or directly?)
-which version of php?
-what errors are in the console when in the page edit screen?
-what errors are in the php error log?
