Hi,
I have been assigned a terribly outdated CMS installation, based on V1.11.8 with
PHP 5.4.15 and
MySQL 5.5.68-MariaDB
Sure updating it to the latest is one of the first tasks, but
What intermediate versions should I use?
What about PHP and MySQL They likely need to be migrated too in between.
So I am looking for a path like 1.11.8 -> 1.12.1 -> 2.0.1.1-> 2.2 or if possible 1.11.8 -> 2.2.16
Need to keep in mind that for MySQL and PHP I might need to address the hoster.
Thanks for your advise.
M.
Upgarde from an old Installation

Follow these then use the upgrade to 2 steps at the bottom...

Re: Upgarde from an old Installation
Hi again,
(history: only now the owner has agreed to pay for the job, so nothing happened in the past.)
Everything is prepared to upgrade (files saved, database-backup done) files from 1.11.13-full copied on top of the existing 1.11.
running /setup/upgrade.php fails in step2 with the famous:
Is there a way to place the missing library inside my repository so that CMSms will work?
Or is there a trick to ignore the missing file, as I will continue to upgrade to latest build, switching to newer PHP-versions when they are supported by the CMSms Version.
Any advise would be helpful.
BR
Matthias

Problem I am on a hosted webspace, where I have no control over anything installed to the server and there might be more websites running on it as well. PHP is 5.6.40-81+0~20250311.98+debian12~1.gbp4564f4Checking for GD library
The GD library is mandatory for some modules and functionality.
Is there a way to place the missing library inside my repository so that CMSms will work?

Re: Upgarde from an old Installation
Update: I was lucky and the hoster accepted the complaint about missing GDlib, so MY problem is solved, but it might still be interesting for others if there is a solution to co-locate the lib inside the webspace
