There's a banner module available at http://techcom.dyndns.org, your mileage may vary, but if you have any questions or comments, drop me a line.

After a long hiatus of working on my site, I've done some more stuff.
I've made a new banners module:  at  http://techcom.dyndns.org (look under projects --> website)  (only 0.9 compatible, sorry).

Features:
  - Keeps strack if impressions and hits
  - Keeps track of the ip address and date and time of those who click through
  - Allows for multiple categories of banners
  - Allows for a maximum number of impressions and/or an expiry date
  - Allows for a default url and image if no banners are valid

Let me know what you think

With more spare time on my hands, I might just add the following functionality:

A) Create the ability to upload the images
B) Allow multiple images per "record"

what do you think

I tweaked the module yet again (didn't bother to change version numbers) to include a copy of the image in the admin form.

I copied it up to my modules direcory and it does not show up in the modules list... any ideas? Permissions are correct. Latest Stable Build, no beta (CMS).

if it doesn't show up in the module list it means that the directory name is wrong.  It is case sensitive.  it needs to be named "Banners", not "banners".
