FormBuilder and PHP 8

Post by thomahawk »

I am about to install a module to create forms on my CMSMS 2.2.20, there seems to be only one plugin available for complex forms
FormBuilder

Now I am concerned about this. The last release 1.2 is from 2022 and change history says "Started work towards PHP 8.1 compatibility"

I am creating a complete new website for a museum precisely because we have to be PHP 8 compatible and stay functional during the coming versions, 8.3 and beyound. How can I be sure all the work I do to set this up is not in vain, if the module is 2 years old and no updates in sight?

Has anyone experience with FormBuilder 1.2 and PHP 8+ ?

I understand your concern, but not to worry, is in the works. No release has come out recently because some work has come up and then the CMSMS core itself. But the project is not abandon-ware, and will soon see a new release.
