The wiki is giving me problems... and it's getting frustrating. Right now, I can't edit any pages anymore no one in #tikiwiki is giving out any help with the situation.
So, I'm about to start changing the way things work around here in the documentation area. I think I'm going to setup plone for this. Instead of using the wiki feature, I want people to actually sign in and create content that will go through a review process and all that. It should be similar to how the wiki works now, but more structured. I'm going to mess with it sometime today (probably making a docs.cmsmadesimple.org) and I sincerely hope that people will be interested in contributing.
However, this still leaves one issues. How to handle the uploading and downloading of user-defined modules. I need to find a way to make a repository of these things... Is anyone interested in helping with this? calguy originally wrote a user uploads module, but it hasn't been upgraded to the new API yet. Does someone want to take on the job of convering it? Then we can just setup a modules.cmsmadesimple with that running and have all our modules in one place...
The only other option I can think of is finding a place in plone to do it, but I'd almost it rather be separate and have plone be entirely dedicated to documentation.

Well, what it really comes down to is...
I don't want to take on anymore modules. I have a hard enough time working on the core. If the upload module was updated, then it would be no question.
As for documentation, yes it would work, but I want the community to contribute and setting that up would be a nightmare with CMSMS. I'm the first to admit that it is above scope of what we're trying to accomplish and I'd rather concentrate on getting 1.0 out.
I'm not afraid of using 3rd party apps to do what I want... I just need help picking the right ones.
