companydirectory in cmsms 2

I just tried to update Company Directory, which resulted in complete failure in Frontend.

My working versions:
CMS Made Simple 2.2.12 “Osoyoos”
CompanyDirectory 1.23.5

When I go to 1.23.13 and then to 1.900 the directory does not work anymore.
I had to restore everything and stay with 1.23.13. I can not edit the entries (since I upgraded CMSMS to version 2 last year) but at least the existing entries display correctly in frontend.

As it seems, CompanyDirectory has been abandoned? No version compatible to CMSMS 2 ?

Pretty sure it is compatible with CMSMS 2 - the last update was only 7 months ago

But for what its worth I couldn't get the latest version (.907) of Company Directory to work properly anyway ! Was having some issue with the telephone field not allowing any entries to be made (have submitted bug report)

In my case, after the update to 1.900, no entries were shown in frontend anymore. The page shows without error, but no companies appear.

I tried the update to 1.907, but when clicking on activate, an error message says it was not possible.

The 1.9xx series drastically changes configuration, templating, and pretty much everything else. It does work in 2.x, but you may need to consult the documentation to see what you need to change.

1.23.13 also works in 2.x, I'm holding off on upgrading it on a number of sites until the next version gets more stable, or someone forks it and goes a more user-friendly route for the configuration options.

1.23 would be fine for me, if the entries could still be edited. Unfortunately when I want to edit an entry in the list under content - company directory, I only get an HTTP ERROR 500

You'll need to check your error log to see what's causing that 500 error. Could be PHP version, could be something else. I just did a quick test and was able to create and edit an entry on CD 1.23.13 in CMSMS 2.2.14 and PHP 7.3.2 with no error.
