News Website Needing Answers

I am sure this has been asked but I really need to figure this out or I will have to switch CMS's   

I have a news portal with multiple writers.  New articles are submitted daily and I am trying to figure out how to add users so the can submit articles to their section.   

Writer1 - Belongs to "Food Section"
Writer2 - Belongs to "Sports Section"

I want them to be able to login and only submit a new article via their category.  First off is this something that is possible?  Second if so please explain it to me.  I am getting a bit confused with pages, news and other modules. 

I sure hope this will work for me because the community here seems pretty helpful.

PS - I don't have a lot of money but I wouldn't have a problem giving someone a few backlinks if they could help me resolve this issue.

sorry.... there's nothing in the CMS Made simple news module (at the moment) to stop person A to contributing an article to any category.

it can be done though, it's just a matter of coding, and time.

I was afraid of that.  Well if you can point me in the right direction on coding this I would appreciate it.  If anyone else out there has a fix to the issue please let me know.
