Vertical Flyout/Pop Out Menu

Has anyone had any success implementing a vertical pop out menu? I have found that the built-in vertical menus have limitations when using more than 3 sub-categories.

if you need more than 3levels you just need to copy paste some lines in css file ( I think its even documented there ;)

My fault… I should have been more specific…
The CSS vertical menu just indents sub-categories, eventually using up the space allowed for the element itself. I figured out how solve the indent issue, but the navigation element looked terrible. Only visually appealing solution using vertical navigation is a flyout or popout menu.
