Help with selective removal of NEWS module Summary & Details - Please Help!

HI,
I would like to have areas where the Summary & Details of the News Module are turned on and other areas where they are turned off.

Is this possible??

Is there a way to tweak the  template code ?

Like two different templates?

two options:
- two templates
- two content areaas for each page

or if user is logged in show news?
- feusers and customcontent

Yes ,
For example if you go to my site - http://www.punchlinemagazine.com you will see that I am using the new module in 3 different areas. But if I wanted to have one of the areas display more information (ex. the autor, category , or anything) I can not since two of the other areas are displaying a limited amount of info,,, and that's what I want.

So, Yes I guess I would like to have multiple templates for the summary as well as the detailed story.
