How to install module xml file?

I have download the latest guestbook module, and it is a xml file.

Then I upload to server, but I don't know how to do next.

It doesn't show on the modules page.

As stated in the accompagning documentation, the latest Guestbook extension works only with CMSMS 1.0.

Go to Extensions->Module. Do you see Install module via XML file ?

Yes, then use the upload function.
No, then you have a older version CMSMS. You cannot use the XML file.

Hi,

When I upload the latest guestbook xml., it's ok.

But I uploaded the latest Cataloger xml, it failed.

How did it happen?

Have you tried to go a detour?

Install a local server like Xampp (www.apachefriends.org), install CMSms there and upload the cataloger xml file. With Xampp it should work. Now you have a local cataloger folder which you can upload by FTPing  .
