I have an acquaintance who recently got kicked off of the same webhost that I am using for generating too much traffic and consuming server resources.
So now I'm concerned about my own site. I only get about a seventh the amount of traffic he was getting but CMSMS executes SQL queries everytime a site page is loaded, if I understand it correctly?
Won't this add more of a server load compared to static html/css pages?
Understanding how CMSMS works (question about sql queries and server usage)
Re: Understanding how CMSMS works (question about sql queries and server usage)
every cms system uses more resources than html/css pages.
If you have busy site hosting company should first tell you about it and then negotiate proper actions like putting your site on another server or something.
I wouldnt worry about it too much before I get the notice.. (but I wouldnt also post that site on slashdot or put large movie files in the frontpage ;)
