CGBlog on new website

Post by rooon »

Hi all,

A new customer asked me for a blog on a new website. I have some questions about CGBlog.

First, the forge tells me that CGBlog is "A fork of the news module" but in the near future the News module will be deprecated. My question: will CGBlog be continued as a stand-alone module?

Second, my customer has about 2500 news articles. My question: What will happen with the performance, on te frontend and in the backend?

Somebody can help me? Thanx in advance.

News Module is NOT deprecated. It is a core module. Don't know where you read that...

Oops, I stored some info in a defective braincel. Only the FESubmit template of the News module is deprecated viewtopic.php?f=8&t=77720 (last post).

Thanx for your answer on my second question.

Ronald.
