SelfReg: "Sorry, the password you entered is incorrect"

Post by map_1961 »

I am quite desperate about the facts that currently no user registration by SelfReg & FEUsers is possible any more.

What happens?
If a user registers he gets an email incl. a confirmation link
a. the user has to click in a verification link in the verification email he gets.
b. If he does he has to type in the password into the browser message that opens (verification form)
c. If i type in the password i set on registration process - i did it for three hours yesterday and with 20 different passwords - i get this message whatever i try: "Sorry, the password you entered is incorrect."
d. So currently nowbody can register!

If you like to try you can use this registration form on the live site (sorry its german):
https://www.papageienpark-bochum.de/de ... egister_g

Its a latest cmsms running on php version 7.1 (7.2 is possible).

I insert the issue into bugtracker ...
http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/11709

One week before registration worked propperly. What i changed was an update from Cgextension (1.57.1 -> 1.58.1) and FEUsers (2.7.1 -> 2.8) module to the latest version. I downgraded FEUsers to 2.7.1 again. But this does not fix. Downgrading CGextensions is tricky - so this might be the step i would like to avoide.

Thx 4 hints how 2 solve.
