Banner Module not working?

I'm using Banners 2.0.7 on CMSMS 1.3 Beta

I've set the permissions in Groups. Banners appears it should work, because when I go to Content-Manage Banners, it shows me 3 tabs (Categories, Banners, Preferences)... none of those 3 tabs do anything... I click, and nothing.

I've been trying out CMSMS on and off for some time, I really like it (all the other free CMS progs are not so simple)... but I got make sure I can do all the stuff I need to do so I can "WOW" my boss... currently everything we have is standard HTML with DHTML Java scripts, and I want to revamp it all with CMSMS. And me being not so much of a programmer,  think CMSMS is the best way to go.

Anyhow, thank you all for any help you can give me.

Unfortunately I haven't done anything with banners in a long time.

If the taba are displaying, but there is nothing in them, try doing a view-source and see if you can see any Errors in therer.  Searching for the word Error in the source usually says something.

I don't know if that helps you help me. I suppose I would open the "Banners.module.php" and go to line 1765, but then of course, I'll be lost as to what to do to line 1765. You peeps are wicked smart at this stuff Hope I can learn a thing or 2.

ah, you're using 1.0-beta and the banners module which hasn't been upgraded to 1.0 yet.

Ahhh... OK. Well, the site I'm working on is just for "playng" for now so I can show my boss some stuff so it's not critical...yet. Thanks!

WIll Banners be updated for CMSMS 1.0 "Alpha"? I'm thinking "Banners" will come in handy for our sites... is there another alternative to using the Banners module to get the same affect? Basically, rotating banners on a timed interval with some kind of tracking thing (for "hits")

I know nothing about this stuff, so please forgive me of my "noobiness"

Well, it won't take me long to upgrade banners but.... it doesn't rotate on a timed interval, it chooses a random banner for every unique visit.

but it does track clicks.

I'm having sort of simular problem, i'm getting Database error all the time.

i've looked through the code, help and i've checked to see if the tables were created and the banner data was in there.

What am i doing wrong?

Banners module has been updated in SVN.... I'll add events to it, and call it a release.
