I am using the latest verison of CMSMS but when I try to install the cgextension module it just brings a blank (white screen) with no errors but it does not install the module. I have tried to change the versions of php but it does not help.
Any help or suggestions

I would suggest you hit "remove" on the current version that is downloaded.
And hit download, manualy, from the forge, and use an FTP or simlar, to upload a clean version of the extension.
sometimes the modulemanager isn't able to download a working version/corrupt version.
Were it is missing some parts.
By the way, do you have your site stored on a shared hosting account, and is the settings value grater than 256 - up?
