Submenus not showing on some browsers

Hi,

Some time ago I made a website for a local osteopath, using a customized CMSMS 1.11.

I just upgraded it to the latest CMSMS 2.1.5. It displays fine on my system (Firefox on Slackware Linux), but the osteopath just mailed me to complain that menu entries with categories in them wouldn't open on his browser (Safari on an iPhone). I vaguely remember having made some weird hack a couple years back to solve that problem, but unfortunately I can't seem to remember it.

Any suggestions ?
