cgblog forgets default summary template setting

Post by rotezecke »

CGBlog sporadically forgets its summary template (see picture) which results in the Oops error page. Just clicking the tick of the appropriate template fixes the error, but after some time it forgets it again. Until yesterday I though it happens about once per month, but I "fixed" it last night, and this morning it was broken again. I had a quick look in the database, but couldnt find where the default setting is stored. However, I doubt the database itself is overwritten, as I have seen similar errors in other CG modules (CGSmartImage sometimes can't find the aliases). I do not use smarty chaching or anything fancy, in fact I call CGBlog like this:

Code: Select all

{CGBlog number="10"}
I suppose an easy way out would be to define what template to use here, but was wondering
1) where in DB is that default setting stored
2) assuming that the DB is not overwritten, why would CMSMS not find that setting (both front and backend)?
This particular version of CMSMS started as 1.9.x and was updated to 2.1.4 via phar installer, and is now at 2.1.5. The problem started at 2.1.4 and occurred both with php 5.6.x and 7.0.x.
The admin log shows
Unable to load template module_db_tpl 'CGBlog;summary' in 'tpl_body:54'
and
Unable to load template module_db_tpl 'CGBlog;summary' in 'content:content_en'
There is nothing in the php error log (in relation to this). Thank you.

I have noticed this once and have been investigating it too, but didn't find something either... Other similar sites haven't got any problems.
