New installation, how to change templates

Hi, I'm completely new to this CMS and am stuck at step 1. I have read the manual and searched FACs and this board.

Could someone please point me to the manual where I can find out how to change templates. I don't mean I want to edit them, or create a new one, not yet.

I just want to select a different one as the starting point for my web site, to pick something close to what I want that I can then edit.

I seem to be able to change the default that is used to create new pages. I want to change the site wide template that was used to create the sample web site so it uses a different one right across the site.

Maybe I'm asking the wrong question. Any help would be gratefully received.

In the Content Editor, you can select all of the pages, then at the bottom there's a dropdown for what you want to do to all of the selected pages. Changing the Design and Template is one of these options.
