Menu Manager CMSMS 2.0+ Does it upgrade?

I am trying to upgrade from 1.12.2 to CMS 2, and having major issues with my host, who keeps blocking me when I try to edit and investigate a trial install of CMSMS 2.1.2

that Menu Manager would need to be removed before ugrading. Am I reading this correctly?

No, you do NOT need to remove Menu Manager before upgrading to CMSMS 2.x

... but if they are standing in front of your keyboard try a taser or baseball bat. Failing that use the docs/installer readme and make sure the platform meets minimum requirements. Until that's sorted don't worry about not having to do anything with the old Menu Manager ...

I can't see anything on that page that even remotely supports that view. Menu Manager functionality is within Design Manager in 2.*, {menu} is deprecated in favour of {Navigator} but backward compatibility is maintained.
