It seems the formbuilder crashed my templates. Today, when I viewed the site, none of the CSS was there. I replaced the templates with my saved copy, which did not have a reference to the forms, and the pages worked fine. So when I removed the reference to a form, the pages started working again.
Now, for some reason, when I try and create a new page, I'm getting this error: Unknown microtiny profile __admin__
The page in question that is broken now, has a form. So I can't get in to edit the page either. I get the above mentioned error.
Can I reupdate the installation of CMSMS without losing any of my content or styles? Or does anyone know how to fix this?
THe address is: www.slocarfree.org. The page in question is: http://www.slocarfree.org/index.php?pag ... or-sign-up
Thanks!

Re: Unknown microtiny profile __admin__
It seems that this miraculously cleared itself up tonight. I didn't change anything and all of a sudden the pages with the forms are working and showing up properly.
Now, I tried to log back in with the same credentials (store in a browser app that saves my credentials), CMSMS is telling me that the User name or password is incorrect. This happened this morning when I was trying to fix the problem and it let me reset the password through the "lost password" link.
But now, when I put in the admin name and click to Submit, it brings me to a blank page and doesn't send me a link.
In Chrome, I get this error:
Server error
500
Hide details
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.slocarfree.org/admin/login.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
I tried changing the password directly in phpmyadmin back to what it was, and it still won't let me in. But I know the credentials are correct.
Any help, please?

Re: Unknown microtiny profile __admin__
Is there anyone who can help with this? I've tried even creating a new user in phpmyadmin and it won't take the credentials. The page just shakes, yes, it literally shakes and then tells me the username or password are incorrect. They are not.
I can't get into the admin at all.
Can an upgrade to the newest version that just came out help fix things?

If you site is setup to us a salt password, it is more complicate then adding a line in the DB.webguru wrote:I've tried even creating a new user in phpmyadmin and it won't take the credentials.
You have mention 500 errors, login problems. I don't even know where to start to try and figure out what is going on. From someone who is reading it I am VERY confused.
Re: Unknown microtiny profile __admin__
I am sorry you're confused. Not sure what else to tell you unless I am asked some questions.
Anyone else?

Typically if we need to ask questions it's because the 1st post is not well documented enough. This can end up (and usually does) in endless topics that lead nowhere.webguru wrote:Not sure what else to tell you unless I am asked some questions.
Please read this...
Invest sometime in debugging and researching, and post as much data as possible for us to be able to reproduce the issue. And by researching I mean reading the documentation we provide including the tips on how to debug/troubleshoot issues in CMSMS. Otherwise this will be just a guessing game...

Re: Unknown microtiny profile __admin__
I understand about giving you as much information as possible, but I can't access the admin panel to get it for you. I do know, that it is the latest version of CMSMS as of 3-4 weeks ago when I did a successful manual install of a 2.X version.
Even after running the reset password script "UPDATE cms_users SET password = '21232f297a57a5a743894a0e4a801fc3' WHERE user_id = 1;" I still can't log in using the password of admin.
Today, I had the hosting company restore a full html folder backup from last week when it was working, which includes the admin folder, resetting the password again using the sql script, I am still unable to log in.
When I try the reset password option, it allows me to put in the user name, but when I click on submit, it takes me to the admin/login.php and it is blank.

Re: Unknown microtiny profile __admin__
This exact same issue happened to me this morning. First, I disabled MicroTiny by making an FTP connection & renaming the Modules > MicroTiny folder. Then, I had to reset my admin password in order to login (I used the "Forgot Password" route, but you can also do this in the DB directly). Once inside, I went to System Maintenance & cleared the cache. Thankfully, everything went back to normal after that. Then of course I renamed the MicroTiny folder back to how it was. So many issues I've encountered with CMSMS over the past several years can be fixed by simply clearing that dang cache. Still my favorite CMS by far

Re: Unknown microtiny profile __admin__
What I did was to do a full restore of the entire website, including the database from the web hosting backups to the day before the crash.
It is all working now.
I do still think CMSMS is an excellent piece of software. I love being able to design my own templates and upload my files and use tags. I've done a few very nice sites fairly easily and I've only been using it for about 6 months. Very simple, except for debugging if you are not very advanced on that side of it.
Thanks for the response.
