TinyMCE Insert /Edit Image fail

Post by Barrowboy »

Using Tinymce 3.1.2 in CMS 2.1.2 in advanced mode I am getting and error :
File Manager
Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.

This happens when searching for an image by clicking the small search icon.

Are there settings that I should be doing to make this work or is there something missing?

Thanks for any help

I can't reproduce this but probably need some clarification...

What's "advanced mode" - is this a File Manager setting, the (default) TinyMCE 'Advanced' profile or something else?

Is this the "Insert file" icon when editing a page in TinyMCE? Do you get the same with "Insert/Edit image"?

Also, what's the File Manager's current path when you see the error?

Sysinfo including permissions would probably help.

Did you modify the the .htaccess file to allow access to the plugin file?

Hi

Within the Tinymce you have two options 'Minimal' or 'Advanced' I am using advanced.

The fault also appears when selecting 'Insert/Files'.

On the error there is no url showing at all.

Also no files show when trying to link to an internal page.

The file manager works fine on its own and the original MicroTiny editor works as well.
So what settings are required to make TinyMCE work correctly.

Thanks

Hi Jeff

Thanks for pointing me to info, feel a bit stupid not spotting that.

It now appears to work? However when the file manager opens I get this warning at the top.

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/tindletr/public_html/modules/TinyMCE/responsive_filemanager/filemanager/include/utils.php:56) in /home/tindletr/public_html/modules/TinyMCE/responsive_filemanager/filemanager/dialog.php on line 45

Also the link to internal page not showing pages.

Can you help further.

Thanks

Most likely this is tied to mod_security being enabled on the account. You may need to request this be disabled directly from the host.

I have run into it before, and it's much quicker then going through the process of trying to chase done the precise mod_security setting that is triggering it.

[edited]

I've filed a bug report, that I forgot to file previously about this, see bug #10951 - http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/10951

hat tip to JohnnyB for the workaround on that one

Hi Geepers

Thanks for the information, commenting out line 56 removes the warning, so far so good.

Just have one issue left !!!!

Linking to internal pages (cms_selflink): Fails to show any pages when entering characters in the required field thereby unable to find the page to link to.

Could you add this to your bug report unless there is simple answer.

Many Thanks.

You might want to check if it has already been reported.

Also maybe start a new thread with the current problem so it is easier to see. If someone knows the answer.
