Front End Users secure and personal downloads?

Hi there,

We currently use a older version of CMSMS (1.11.4)
ofcourse thinking of migrating to version 2.1

We use the FrontEndUsers module for some secure pages.
we would like to expand that with some secure downloads and personal downloads. I'm searching if there are modules available for this.

secure downloads are files (mostly pdf) that can only be downloaded if you are logged in. It must not be posible to download them by direct linking to the document. for example general company documents.

personal downloads are almost the same, but then a litle step further so that each front end users has his own documents somewhere. Which only he/she can download. for example personal company documents like personal letters, payment information, etc. Since we have a couple of hundred front end users, it would be perfect if we could create user folders on the server and just ftp the documents in there.

can anybody point me to the right modules for these functions, if they exists. Or give me some pointers on how to solve this.

Thanks for your suggestion. Maybe i'll take a look at the upload module, maybe it can do what i want with some modifications.

But is there realy no other way of using safe secure downloads and personal user based downloads??

If there is no standard way or standard module for this, it might be better to switch to a other cms since this is going to become a important part of the site.

That is the best module for this, it can email a link that expires at a set date or only allow one download with an obscured link, allow for set links that only show when a specific person or group is logged in, I set it up to sell mp3s that could only be DL once. It has all and more options than I can list here, but it's up to you as to what you use...

Thanks, but that is not the intended use.

Basicly what i want is i log as a front end user, go to my personal page and see my personal documents... just like for example:

- when i log into a webshop and see my invoices
- when i log into the portal of my accountant and can see my correspondence
- when i log into my health insurance and can see my declarations

i'm really puzzeld why this is so complicated in all popular CMS?
as a developer i don't understand why this is more difficult then the standard secure documents.
