[solved][vr2.1.1] Error 503

Hi, I am currently testing 2.1.1 for an update from 1.12 but I am having trouble with changing the page template in the content manager, everytime I change the Template I recieve a whitescreen with a 503 error, on page refresh is the new template set. Any Ideas how I can fix this or has anyone the same problem?

The CMSMS code does not at any time generate a 503 error.
With some quick googling (particularly related to Solaris). I found that the 503 error is probably caused by PHP crashing.

This can be due to a bug in your version of PHP compiled for your platform, or a configuration error in your PHP setup.

So... you will need to check your server logs, check your apache error logs, and see if there is anything that can give you a hint as to what is causing it, and then start googling.

Or, if this is not your server... then you will have to contact your host provider for assistance.

Thank you for your answer, the answer was a little easier than I had thought.. after checking my server logs and not finding anything I serched my provider in connection with the 503 error to find out they have a setting "Filter against guest book spam" which was on stopping the php script from changing the page template.

So anyone with a Strato server and a 503 error check the box under ServerSide Security
