Comments module : language errors ?

Post by fredt »

Hi,

I'm using 0.13 Canary Version (Apache 2, php5). I installed Comments 1.6.

Seems I'm having language problems...
In Admin (under Firefox, language prefs to [en-us], Adminstrator has "My Prefs" to English), under Content page, Comments appears with "--Add me - module:Comments String Description"...

In User page (under IE, language prefs to French), I call it with {cms_module module="comments" dateformat="d/m/Y, H:i" lang="fr_FR"}, but am still getting english text...

Has anybody a solution ? (I'd bet a beer you have !)

Thanks
Fred

It happens because the language files are not finished yet. Be patient and eventually the translations will be completed.

Please test with Comments 1.7 and CMSMS 1.0 beta3 and let me know if you still have problems. See first screenshot with text showing correctly.

Calling it like that with lastest versions of CMSMS and Comments seems to work fine here. Please see the 2nd screenshot attached to this post.

Let me know how it goes,

Elijah

Thanks for the update. I am using CMSMS for a website of a group of loribreeders, and don't want to use an unstable version of CMSMS. Is 1.0 beta stable enough? Comments vs. 1.7 cannot be used for the 0.13 CAnary CMSMS version.

Can i change some settings in vs. 1.6 so i can use its language files for Canary CMSMS?

It works well for me, but some people have had upgrade problems.
