Problems connecting to the database

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Problems connecting to the database

Post by okp »

When installing the latest version from scratch, I cannot logon to the database to install. Probably something stupid.
Here is what I have:
Database Hostname : localhost
Database Name: inge_cms ( as created with my SQL)
User name: inge_admin (as created)
Password: xxxxxx (is absolutely correct)

When I now click next, I get the error message:
We could not connect to the database. Please double check the credentials you have supplied

What can be wrong here?

thx

You may need to consult with your host if the host name and port to connect to the db are correct. Other than that all should work fine.
