Problem with guestbook after upgrade

Post by Kaylen »

I have upgraded my cmcms first form 1.11.10 to 1.11.13 as per instructions in update section, updated al the modules from module manager and then updated from 1.11.13 to 1.12.

Now I have the problem that my guestbook is no longer accessible from the backend and the templates that I use the guestbook in cannot be modified anymore.

Guestbook version is 1.4_RC2

I found a post that states my problem, but since I am not so technical I do not understand the proposed workarround and I cannot reply to that post anymore, so thats why I created a new one.

Hope someone can help me?

I also tried working with GBook, but in gbook I cannot add pictures which I use in my guestbook entries so if anyone can solve that problem that would be great too, thank you :)

When you want to export Guestbooks items to Gbook module

Create a UDT "export_guestbook" with the content http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopi ... 03#p322403

Create a new (hidden) page with the content: {export_guestbook} or if you need it: {export_guestbook id=2}.

When you open the page you can copy the page content and paste it in i.e. Notepad++ and save it as yourfilename.csv.

Now you can import this in Gbook module thanks to Jos his cool import feature!

Note: Line breaks are imported as <br />. You need to change them manually...
