News module fesubmit & CMSMS 2.0

Dear forum,

I know that the feature of the news module that allows frontend users to submit news articles (action='fesubmit') is deprecated for some time now. Yet, it still used to work on until CMSMS 1.12 - now, after the upgrade to 2.0.1.1, it seems to be broken in my installation.

For testing, I created a new News::Frontend template named "test" (which is filled with some default countent) and then used

{news formtemplate="test" action="fesubmit"}

This doesn't produce an error, but it also doesn't show anything - it's as if the {news} tag wasn't there.

I am just wondering: is the fesubmit feature still supposed to work in CMSMS 2.0 or is it finally broken?

P.S. In case it matters, you find the system information reported by CMSMS attached.

fesubmit in News does work. (aside from a few minor errors in the sample template). Look in the News module options.

thanks a lot for your prompt feedback.

@calguy1000: When you suggest to look at the module options, do you mean I should look at the help page of the News module (which I did)? Is there something wrong with

I now also tested the same line as above with an almost empty News::Frontend template (except for a short message). It didn't print the message.
Do you have a suggestion where I could look for what is wrong with my installation?

P.S. The other features of the news module (e.g. upcominglist) are working just fine.

P.P.S. If you have an idea in which php file(s) the problem is likely to occur that would also help.
