Comments module: "number" tag not working, spamprotect breaks "add"

Post by jeroen94704 »

Hello,

I'm using the comments module, version 1.6, and have run into a couple of problems:

1) The "number" tag has never worked for me. I can add "number=25" but the module will still show all comments.
2) When I enable "spamprotect", the Add a comment link leads to a page showing only the header. There is no content, and the footer is gone. There is nothing in the errorlog that I can see, nor do I get any smarty errors or an error about GD or something (GD is installed).

Any ideas are appreciated.

Regards,

Thanks for reporting this, this bug has been fixed in the just released Comments 1.7.

In Comments 1.7 the spamprotect parameter was removed and replaced with a "spamprotect - Protect comments from spam. If not set, no spam protection will be used." checkbox in the "Options" tab of the Comments Admin.

I have also changed the location where captcha images are stored. This may fix the problem your are having.

Please test with Comments 1.7 and let me know if you have any problems.

Comments 1.7 requires CMSMS 1.0

Release notes for Comments 1.7:

Download Comments 1.7: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/frs/?group ... ase_id=551

Hope this helps,

Elijah
