2.0 “Australia_10152-Fr”
Set a Default page to use for detail views (Settings - News module - options), then delete it.
You no longer have the option to change the default page, the dropdown disappeared.

I had to uninstall then install the news, now I'm able to change the default page again.
The problem appear only with Simplex and some text into the {$main_content}. It seem's a scope problem.
