Hello-- I'm not sure which part of the forum to ask this question (since General Discussion says "not for help questions")
For years I have played with various CMS's and Ecommerce systems, for two websites, a mostly static informational website and an eCommerce site, both related to my own small business.
I have used CMS Made Simple quite a few years ago, and liked it, and have tried quite a few other PHP/MySQL type content management systems. Currently my informational website uses WordPress.
For eCommerce/shopping-cart/payment systems, I've used Magento (I don't like it), WordPress with WooCommerce (the add-on modules are sometimes prohibitively expensive although WooCommerce works pretty well and looks nice with some well-configured add-ons), and my current favorite, OpenCart (the modules are very reasonably priced, and OpenCart core provides most of the features one would normally need).
However, I'm interested in trying CMS Made Simple again, and was wondering if it is considered a good platform for an eCommerce small business website, with some appropriate modules/add-ons. I see that there have been some eCommerce modules written in the past that are now marked as "stale," so I thought I would ask for people's opinion in this forum, and am especially interested in the comments of people who are using CMS Made Simple as the platform for a small web-based business.
Thank you.
